Liberty County EMA reviews projects for emergency plan

The Liberty County Emergency Management Agency held a review and update meeting yesterday for the county's Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan is updated every five years, with city and county officials developing an action plan for emergencies. Attendees were asked to review projects listed in the plan for their jurisdiction from 2010, then revise projects, add new ones or eliminate unnecessary projects. They were encouraged to have action-oriented projects that are impactful on their communities and can obtain possible grant funding.
