Hinesville man arrested in statewide child-porn investigation

Eighteen people, including a Hinesville man, were arrested and charged with crimes related to possession, production, or distribution of images of child pornography after a three-month statewide investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit and the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Carolina floods remind Georgians to be prepared

In light of the recent storms that have impacted the state of South Carolina, the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security, or GEMA/HS, reminds all Georgians that disasters can strike at any time. Ga. Driver Services, Revenue departments warn of email scam

The Georgia Department of Driver Services and the Georgia Department of Revenue are warning the public of an email scam that asks drivers to verify their driver's license details or face license suspension. The e-mail, which claims to have been sent from the Department of Motor Vehicles, appears to be a common phishing scam designed to steal personal information from recipients. Information collected may be used by Internet criminals to commit identity theft.
