More arrests for drugs

Nov.8 Liberty County Sheriff's Office deputies, patrolling the area around Dunlevie Road, stopped Cordere Wilcox because his car was allegedly weaving. MACE agents were called to assist when the deputies said Wilcox was found in possession of 17 Xanaflex pills. Deputies said Wilcox stepped out of the car and gave the impression he was about to flee, but reconsidered and began to cooperate.

Motorcycle crash kills Midway man

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Trey Miller, Efrain Lozada-Gonzalez, 43, was killed in a motorcycle accident shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 84 not far from Bill Carter Road in Midway.

Armed robber being sought in R Hill

The Richmond Hill Police Department is asking the public for help in finding an alleged armed robber.Here's the press release: "The Richmond Hill Police Department is seeking information in regards to an armed robbery that occurred on Nov. 9 around 6:15-6:30 p.m. The robbery occurred at Motel 6 in Richmond Hill. The suspect was described as a black male, between 5 feet, 10 inches 6 feet, 2 inches, with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski cap, black sweater, and black pants. He was brandishing a black revolver.

Long County Sheriff's Department gets funding

WASHINGTON, D.C. -Congressional funding for improvements to the Long County Sheriff's Department has been approved by the House in the 2008 Omnibus Appropriations bill.
