The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that Metro Hinesville's unemployment rate for September was 6.2 percent, down 0.1 percentage point from 6.3 percent in August. The rate in September 2014 was 7.3 percent.

Kroger to host job fair Saturday

Kroger's Atlanta Division will host a divisionwide job fair in hopes of filling more than 1,500 open positions for its 186 stores in Georgia, South Carolina and eastern Alabama.
