The listings include the names of the sellers and buyers, the book and page where the deed can be found in deed books in the clerk's office, the transfer tax (which gives an estimate of the price paid, based on $1 per $1,000) and a description of the property, which may be the subdivision and/or Georgia Militia District where it is located. ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Labor announced today that 44,711 laid-off workers filed first-time claims for unemployment insurance benefits in May, down 13.4 percent from April. Most of the decline in claims came in manufacturing industries.
