Long sheriff’s, fire departments raise more than $2K for meals program

Members of the Ludowici/Long County Fire Department and the Long County Sheriff's Office raised more than $2,000 last Saturday for the Long County Meals on Wheels program by playing each other in a charity basketball game at Long County Middle School.

Scott’s All*Stars hold first workout of year

Scott's All*Stars conducted their first official workout of the year Jan. 18. According to program founder Marcus Scott IV, more than 40 kids participated. The All*Stars will host a final tryout for the upcoming 2014 season from 3-5 p.m. Feb. 8-9 at the YMCA. The tryout is open for grades five through nine.
