Liberty County High School's game at No. 5-ranked Statesboro has been moved up to Thursday night. Kick off also was moved up to 7 p.m. to accommodate playing on a school night. The game is the Region 3A-AAAA opener for both teams. Both the Blue Devils and Panthers are 5-1. "We can't make any mistakes against a team like Statesboro," Panthers coach Kirk Warner said. The Long County High School football team's summer conditioning program is winding down. The Blue Tide began their program in June and have been practicing three days a week ever since, with the exception of taking off last week. They will wrap up their conditioning July 17, and their football camp will run July 21-25. School practice begins July 28.
