The Connection Church's Mission Possible Team is hosting a basketball tournament to benefit Liberty County's Relay for Life. The double-elimination tournament will be May 16-17 at the Shuman Recreation Center. The fee is $150 per team.

Liberty County High School spent two separate days competing at the Region 3-AAAA track meet at Cross Creek High in Augusta. The long travels last Wednesday and Friday paid off as the Panther boys and girls finished second overall in the region.

Junior golf tournaments coming

Entries are now being accepted for both the 49th annual Georgia Junior Championship and the 35th edition of the Georgia Girls' Championship. The junior boys will travel south to Brunswick Country Club, while the junior girls will head to The Standard Club in Johns Creek. Both events will take place June 16-18.
