Tide ready for stretch run

The Long County High School baseball team begins its journey to make up ground in Region 2-AA when the Blue Tide play Brantley County on Friday in Nahunta. The Tide (4-8 overall, 1-5 in the region) need a second-half surge to position themselves for a possible postseason berth, but it won't be easy in a region where two of the teams currently are ranked in the GACA Top 10 in Class A.
