Softball season over for Long County girls

Its official: The softball season has come and gone. Long County High School wrapped up its season Wednesday and Thursday with a 6-3 loss to Liberty County and a 14-2 loss to Appling County. Wildcats stun Panthers at homecoming

Despite a 92 yard return for a touchdown in the opening kick of the game by Liberty's Tay Tay Bacon, the Richmond Hill Wildcats upset the Panthers' homecoming winning 14-6 at Donell Wood Stadium tonight. Minutes after scoring their first touchdown Shadrach Thornton plowed through blockers and ran to the outside for a 51 yard touchdown that was wiped away by a holding call. The Panthers had several opportunities inside the Wildcats' 20 but were unable to punch through the goal line.
