"I sound like a broken record," first-year Bradwell Institute head coach Adam Carter said after his Tiger football team lost by one point Friday night in Effingham. "I keep saying it every week - we're fighting. We just can't seem to get that one break. We should have won that football game. We made a mistake, and that's a coachable football game. We fought the whole game. We played 48 minutes of football."

Windy day can complicate golf game

Question: Ralph and Mike are playing in a tournament. On the 16th hole, both players hit their shots onto the green. Ralph is away and asks Mike to mark his ball. Mike marks his ball, and Ralph hits his ball into the cup. Mike then replaces his ball, leaves his marker in place and steps away to line up his putt. A gust of wind moves the ball to a new position, about 6 feet further from the hole. What procedure must Mike follow?

Panthers undefeated at 5-0

Liberty County High School had a strong goal line stance, caused and recovered a fumble in the final 13 seconds of regulation to secure a 31-0 shutout over Hephzibah at Donell Woods Stadium Friday night. The victory gives the Panthers a 5-0 start, the best of coach Kirk Warner's career, and a reason for the school to celebrate during their Homecoming game.
