Eagles WR Showers arrested in dispute

Georgia Southern football player Kentrellis Marquis Showers, and a woman, Jomeshia Jquana Slaughter, were arrested early Saturday morning at their Cambridge Pines apartment after Statesboro police responded to a call about a verbal altercation that turned physical, according to an incident report.

Two All*Stars go to Duke camp

Russell Dandy and Marcus Scott V, two Scott's All*Stars players, recently attended Coach K's Duke Basketball Camp held June 14-18 at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina. The boys went through a variety of drills before playing in competition with kids two age groups older. Their team was the only undefeated team in the 16-year-old age bracket. The boys also toured the campus and met Duke men's coach Mike Krzyzewski.
