Brunswick outscores Liberty in region game

The Pierce County Bears remained undefeated in Region 2-AA by beating the Long County Blue Tide, 21-3, on Friday night in Blackshear. The win improved Pierce County to 4-2 overall.

Penalties hurt the Bradwell Tigers and speed helped the Windsor Forest Knights on Olvey Field tonight. Bradwell battled to the bitter end but as the clock ticked toward zero the Knights held on to win 34-24 in a Region 3-AAAAA match up.

Nestled alongside Jenkins and Savannah High, the Tigers need to win tonight when they host Windsor Forest to have a viable shot for the postseason. In fact, the BI boys need to win from here on out to push Johnson, Benedictine and Groves down the region scale.

GARDEN CITY - A wild football game between Bradwell Institute and Savannah High on Thursday night had a little bit of everything: a fight between two players, an interception and kickoff returned for touchdowns, and two quarterbacks combining to throw for six touchdowns and more than 450 yards.

Around 50 players and coaches who are participating in the T-ball, softball and baseball programs came out for the night. Q: John and Chris were playing the fourth hole in their Saturday men's event. John hit his ball from the fairway and was almost sure that he went out of bounds. He announced to Chris that he was hitting a provisional ball. Before hitting his provisional, John replaced his divot and dropped a new ball as near as possible to the spot where he hit his last shot. Did John proceed in accordance with the rules?
