Hinesville Gators tryouts rescheduled due to weather

The Hinesville Gators' tryouts scheduled for today have been moved to Thursday at James Brown Park. Tryouts are for their 11-and-under and 12-and-under boys' and girls' academy teams and the 13U, 14U and 16U girls and 17U and 19U boys' select teams. The tryouts will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday June 7, at James Brown Park. For more information call Tom Sukaratana 977-4642.

Tigers to hoop it up at college

Thursday was the last day students had to be in school, so Bradwell Institute basketball coach Pete Woodard made sure two of his players finished something about as important as their final exams. On Wednesday, Woodard gathered Da'zjon Tinae and Jalen Watson, along with their family and friends, to complete their paperwork and sign letters of intent to take their hoop skills to the next level.

Question: Charlie and Jack are on the fourth hole during their Saturday men's association play. Charlie addresses the ball and grounds his club behind the ball. He then decides to step away and use a different club. While walking back to his ball, it moves. Jack tells Charlie that he must incur a one-stroke penalty. Is Jack correct?
