Pirates sweep Panthers in non-region game

Brunswick handed Liberty a pair of lopsided losses Friday night in non-region contests. The Lady Pirates outlasted Liberty, 58-42, in the girls game. Brunswick shelled the Panthers, 64-37, in the night cap.

Player feats: Johnson leads Bobcats to first conference wins

Former First Presbyterian Christian Academy basketball player Jordan Johnson scored 26 points with four rebounds and two assists, helping the East Georgia College Bobcats earn their first conference win of the season against South Georgia Tech. The Bobcats won 75-59 on Dec. 1.
