Tide ground New Hampstead, 15-0

The Long County High School baseball team Wednesday picked up its eighth victory of the year, defeating New Hampstead High School in Savannah. The Blue Tide grounded the Phoenix team in a one-sided thumping, 15-0, to improve their overall record to 8-5; their 2-AA Region mark remains at 3-3.

LCRD’s taekwondo girls perform well in Puerto Rico

Three local girls competed March 10-13 in the International Taekwondo Championship in San German, Puerto Rico. The tournament, hosted by Master Bill Zafiropoulos, featured teams from 12 countries.
