Touchdown winning play called back
Late in the fourth quarter senior Panther running back Shadrach Thornton picked up a one-hopper from a punt and dashed for 70 yards on what appeared to be the game winning touchdown against Wayne County High at Donell Woods tonight.

Anderson, S.C., has a new championship football team. Its semipro team, the Red Dawgs, knocked off the reigning champions, the Hinesville Hurricanes, 21-12, on Oct. 1 to win the 2011 Southeastern American Football League title.

Bradwell lost to Jenkins tonight on Olvey Field scoring only a safety and a field goal but allowing the Warriors to score 33 points in a REgion 3-AAAAA matchup. Final BI 5, Jenkins 31.
Headed to Gator country
The Liberty County High School football team will take a long bus ride to Waycross and enter Gator country tonight, where the Panthers will face Ware County at 7:30 p.m.
BI looking to turn around fortunes
With only three regular-season games left, Bradwell Institute will try to get things moving in the right direction when the Tigers play host to Jenkins tonight for homecoming.
