Pierce remains unbeaten, Tide still winless
The Pierce County Bears remained undefeated in Region 2-AA by beating the Long County Blue Tide, 21-3, on Friday night in Blackshear. The win improved Pierce County to 4-2 overall.
Runners compete in Sunbury 5K
Lined up underneath moss-draped live oaks - just a stone's throw from the marsh's edge - runners stretched and set timers ahead of the second annual Sunbury 5K on Saturday morning.
Knights beat Tigers 34-24
Penalties hurt the Bradwell Tigers and speed helped the Windsor Forest Knights on Olvey Field tonight. Bradwell battled to the bitter end but as the clock ticked toward zero the Knights held on to win 34-24 in a Region 3-AAAAA match up.

While First Presbyetrian Christian Academy is known for its state championship-caliber basketball program, there is another Highlander squad that is opening eyes around the Georgia Independent Schools Association.
BI looks for turnaround
Tied for last place in Region 3-AAAAA is not where the Bradwell Tigers want to be at this point in the football season. Nestled alongside Jenkins and Savannah High, the Tigers need to win tonight when they host Windsor Forest to have a viable shot for the postseason. In fact, the BI boys need to win from here on out to push Johnson, Benedictine and Groves down the region scale.
