Savannah Music Festival: Bluegrass Satuday

Known for his quirky turns of phrase, dazzling solo guitar work and the ability to change musical horses in midstream, Keller Williams returns to Savannah with an all-new project. His collaboration with the Travelin' McCourys, a (Del-less) offshoot of the Del McCoury Band, has taken on a life of its own in the last year.

Charity concert focuses on Rotary work

'Johnny Mercer and Me' in Hinesvillle

"Johnny Mercer and Me," an original play based on the life of the award-winning songwriter and Savannah native, will be performed at 7 p.m. March 23 at the Hinesville Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway.

Johnny Mercer play here Saturday

"Johnny Mercer and Me" will be staged at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Performing Arts Center in Flemington. Tickets still are available and can be purchased from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Hinesville Area Arts Council, 102 Commerce St.; The Heritage Bank; Farmer's Natural Foods; and Fort Stewart's FMWR office, building 419.

Fort Morris celebrates Native Americans

Fort Morris State Historic Site will hold a "Native Americans and the American Revolution" event from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 30. The celebration will commemorate the battle of Jan. 9, 1779, when British Gen. Augustine Prevost launched an assault on the fort, which was surrendered the next day.

Battles at Manassas re-enactment March 16-17

The 14thAnnual "Battles at Manassas" reenactment will be held at "Fort Wallace-Wood" on March 16 and 17 hosted by the Tattnall Invincibles Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans. The fort is located just off U. S. Highway 280, between Reidsville and Claxton. Signs and flags will be posted beside the highway to mark the entrance to the fort.

'Our Town' coming to Ritz in Brunswick

Golden Isles Arts & Humanities will offer a theatrical presentation for The Big Read 2013, a production of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, "Our Town." The show will run Feb. 22-through March 3 at the Historic Ritz Theatre in downtown Brunswick. It features a cast of local actors.
