Detailed carvings on exhibit until Dec. 20

Woodcraft artist Guy Browning held his first art exhibition at the Hinesville Area Arts Council's Commerce Street gallery on Thursday evening. On display were about 45 of his wood carvings that could be categorized as wildlife, Native Americans, religious, historic and comical.

Christmas parade tonight

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the Liberty Convention and Visitors Bureau will host the 17th annual Illuminated Christmas Parade at 6:30 tonight in downtown Hinesville. This year's theme, "A Red, White & Blue Christmas … A Salute to Our Troops," was chosen to highlight Fort Stewart having almost all 20,000 troops at home for the first time in more than a decade.
