Alligator surprises Midway couple

Jim and Amy Roberts of Midway had a rude awakening at 1 a.m. Thursday when a neighbor told them there was a young alligator in their yard. Amy Roberts thought the neighbor was joking until she saw the three-foot gator for herself. She called 911. After and officer arrived, he called DNR to come pick up the alligator.

Canoe trip on Ogeechee Saturday

Ogeechee-Canoochee Riverkeeper will host a paddle down the Ogeechee River next Saturday. OCRK is partnering with Ogeechee Outfitters to provide a safe and fun river excursion. Environmentalists win lawsuit

Two environmental organizations won a landmark lawsuit against a state agency.
