Car show draw crowd

The first annual King of the Streets auto and bike show was presented Saturday Jan. 20 in the parking lot of Bubba's nightclub. Stanley Bryant, owner of Karzzam Auto & Bike accessories, was the sponsor and hopes it will become an annual event. There was music, food and cash prizes with two $500 prizes going for the King of the Auto division and King of the Bike division.

Progress on new city sewage plant

Engineer Paul Simonton showed this photo and others demonstrating the progress of the new wastewater treatment plant during this past week's Hinesville City Council meeting. Simonton said the major part of the structure is about 65 percent complete and the project is about 5-12 days behind schedule.
