One more time

The last week of the football regular season is upon us, and for some this is the most exciting time of the year. Teams across the state are preparing for their playoff matchups or fighting for a playoff berth. Unfortunately, Bradwell will not fall into either of those categories. Last week's loss to Effingham County made it mathematically impossible for us to make the playoffs.

Blue Tide's struggles continue at Tattnall

On Friday the Long County High School football team had to travel over to Tattnall County to take on the Battle Creek Warriors in another Region 2-AAA game. The Blue Tide went into the contest still looking for their first win of the season; sadly they are still looking for that win. The Warriors scored on five of their eight first half possessions enroute to a 47-7 victory.

Bradwell's hot start has cooled

Bradwell's hot start is turning into a cold finish. The Tigers, who won their first six games to assure the team's first winning record in nearly a decade, fell 38-13 to Effingham County in a Region 2-AAAAAA football game in Springfield despite having two rushers go over 100 yards.

With its postseason assured, Liberty County kept its hold on first place in the Region 2-AAA football standings with a 46-0 win over Brantley County on Friday night in Nahunta.

Liberty County beat Brantley County 46-0 on Friday night in Nahunta in a Region 2-AAA football game. The win improves the Panthers to 4-0 in 2-AAA and 6-3 overall.
