Rockdale hands Lady Tigers first loss

Playing the court at Westside Macon High School in the Great Southern Shootout, the Lady Tigers took a 58-39 win Saturday afternoon against South Gwinnett before they were handed their first loss of the season Monday afternoon. The girls lost in overtime, 52-57, to the Rockdale County Bulldogs.

Local gymnasts medal at state competition

JESUP - Facing intense competition, three members of the Leaps and Bounds Gymnastics Center level 4 gymnastics team traveled to Moultrie on Dec. 5 and medaled at the 2009 state meet. They were led by coaches Jodie Clackler and Ashley Godwin, who said the girls represented their respective communities proudly.
