The 2007 graduating class of the Tiger's basketball teams are Antionette Johnson, Edwin Cruz, Ikamiya Richardson, Bubba Hunter, Desirae Curry, Justin Monroe, Talise Johns, Deon Villascencio and Dana King Jr.

Long County High School softball pitcher Harley Dawson led the Lady Tide to a 1-0 win Thursday over Bryan County. She won a pitching duel with Bryan's Brooke Barfield, striking out 16 batters, giving up only three hits and walking three.
South Effingham edged out the Liberty County Panthers, 9-7, in Friday's scrimmage at Donell Woods Stadium. Despite the loss, the Panthers' coaching staff saw enough action to decide on a starting quarterback. Coaches also were relieved to see that even though former standout linebacker Raekwon McMillan is gone, defense didn't skip a beat.
Liberty County High School will host the South Effingham Mustangs for a scrimmage game at 7:30 tonight at Donell Woods Stadium.

Bradwell Institute quarterback Duane Johnson won a 55-inch flat-screen TV in recognition of his 100 percent attendance to all team activities and practice in the spring, summer and fall. Johnson received the TV from new BI head coach Greg Hill on Monday.
