Liberty County narrowly beats Long County 4-3 on Diamond

On Tuesday Liberty County High School traveled over to Ludowici to take on Long County High School in a big rivalry game. Though both baseball teams have struggled this year, this game was important because it was a 2-AAA Region contest and it also was for mid-season bragging rights. Both squads had their opportunities to win but when the final out was made the Panthers squeaked out a narrow 4-3 victory.

Long County beats Liberty County 4-0

On Tuesday two of soccer's "big dogs" in the 2-AAA Region faced off in Ludowici with Liberty County High School taking on Long County High School. Though both teams went into this game tied for the second spot in the region, whereas in recent years they have been facing off for the top spot. Lady Tide beat Lady Panthers

On Tuesday the Liberty County High School ladies soccer team traveled over to Long County for a big 2-AAA Region matchup. With the playoffs just around the corner both teams were looking to win this game to help secure a higher seeding in the standings. The game had the intensity of two boxers slugging it out in prize fight, and it took an overtime period before the Lady Tide secured the 2-1 victory. Karelis Jones and Kylee Proffitt put up the two goals for Long County, while Kayla Hernandez put up the one score for Liberty County.
