After a close match against Camden County, where the Men Tigers lost in double overtime 2-1, last Thursday, the Bradwell soccer squads bounced back against The Groves Rebels Tuesday night with the Lady Tigers winning 3-1 and the men winning 3-0.

FPCA elite kickers head to London

Griffin Larkin, Austin Buchs, Kristian Eby, Colin Williams, Joey Bell and Joshhua Rodgers are headed to London, England, Friday to attend Chelsea Soccer Camp and learn and play among the pros for a week. The Courier will follow up with the young men when they return.

Highlanders continue to improve their game

Rickey Gilliard covers home as a wild throw from third base went over the catcher's head during the First Presbyterian Christian Academy Highlanders double-header against Pinewood Christian Friday. FPCA lost the first game 15-0. The final score of the second game was not available. FPCA continues to improve. Last season Pinewood Christian lashed out against FPCA 35-0 during one of their meets. Pinewood Christian is an established baseball program with several regional titles.

It was a long night Friday for the Liberty County Panthers and Statesboro Blue Devils until, after nearly four hours and ten innings, the Blue Devils broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the 10th by scoring four runs and earning a 2-6 victory.
