Lions’ too much for First Presbyterian Highlanders

It was a rough night for the Highlanders who lost to Saint Andrews on Friday night 47-12. The Highlanders were able to hold Saint Andrews Lions scoreless for most of the first quarter. With about two minutes left in the first quarter, the Lions scored their first touchdown.

LCHS band gets a boost

Saber Security & Investigations, LLC recently donated $100 to the Liberty County High School marching band. The donation will help with band expenses such as transportation and equipment. The donation was made on the last day of band camp in August.

On Tuesday the Long County High School softball team traveled over to Reidsville to take on Tattnall County (5-4 and 1-0) in their first 2-AAA game in school history. In a battle that could have been won by both teams, the Lady Tide came up a little short falling to the Lady Warriors 5-4.
