The last week of the football regular season is upon us, and for some this is the most exciting time of the year. Teams across the state are preparing for their playoff matchups or fighting for a playoff berth. Unfortunately, Bradwell will not fall into either of those categories. Last week's loss to Effingham County made it mathematically impossible for us to make the playoffs.

Bradwell's hot start is turning into a cold finish. The Tigers, who won their first six games to assure the team's first winning record in nearly a decade, fell 38-13 to Effingham County in a Region 2-AAAAAA football game in Springfield despite having two rushers go over 100 yards.
With its postseason assured, Liberty County kept its hold on first place in the Region 2-AAA football standings with a 46-0 win over Brantley County on Friday night in Nahunta.
The First Presbyterian Christian Academy cross country teams competed at the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) State Cross Country Meet on Saturday.
