Study the Lord's intricate gospel

While the Israelites had no children's-story Bibles, they were given pictures of the Gospel in the Old Covenant types and ordinances. Among them were the Passover, Exodus, sacrificial system, festivals, priesthood and ceremonies of the Tabernacle and Temple worship. There is one picture to which I often have loved to return – the picture of the Ark of the Covenant.

Feasting on the word of the Lord

Feasting on the word of God will help us realize our need for God in our lives more each day. It will also help us come to realize our responsibility to "feed" the starving masses with this same word.

Jesus helps in tough times

My family and I recently went to see an inspiring movie that received rave reviews. "The Help" is a unique story of an American author who, during the civil rights movement of the 1960s, writes a book from African-American maids' points of view. It's about the white families the maids work for and the hardships they go through on a daily basis. The movie was wonderful and brought back a lot of memories from my childhood in the South. It was an eye-opener for my sheltered teenage children.
