Mobile clinic offers mammograms in Ludowici

BRUNSWICK - The Southeast Georgia Health System Wellness on Wheels (WOW) mobile health vehicle will provide screenings at several area locations in October. All mammograms require a physician's order. Insurance is accepted, and financial assistance is available to patients who qualify.

Health run attracts nearly 100 athletes

In its first year, the Healthy Hinesville 5K Run/Walk event brought out almost 100 community members, including several groups, to support mental-health awareness. The Sept. 7 event, which fell on a beautiful, sunny morning, raised $2,205 for patients at Georgia Regional Hospital.

Healthcare reform workshop Tuesday

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will have a health-care reform workshop from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday in the board room at the chamber offices, 425 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville. The class will discuss the Affordable Health Care Act and its impact on businesses. Guest speakers will include Lisette Villa of Liberty Tax, DeLisa Espada of Strategic Business Solutions and David Morris of Diversity Health Center.
