Walker FBLA students spread Easter cheer

Walker Middle School FBLA members recently took a field trip to the Long County Head Start. The FBLA community service project in April was an Easter-basket collection. Walker Middle collected 43 Easter baskets and donated them to the students in Ludowici's Head Start program. About 35 students delivered the baskets and spent a few minutes wishing the children a happy Easter. After the field trip, Walker Middle FBLA members returned to school to enjoy an Easter social.

Locals named to honor lists

Carrie Victoria of Allenhurst recently was honored at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y., for making the fall dean's list. To be eligible for the list, students must take at least 12 credit hours and carry a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5.
