Senior citizens visit elementary school

Seventeen seniors from Senior Citizens Inc. of Hinesville visited Button Gwinnett Elementary last month. The visitors were invited and welcomed by members of the student council. Seniors observed students in their classrooms, participated in readings and other fun academic activities, listened to a program by music teacher James Adams and ate lunch. The seniors, who said they enjoyed meeting the students and visiting the school, wrapped up their visit at 12:15 p.m.
