Savannah Tech offers drivers ed scholarships

SAVANNAH - Savannah Technical College has partnered with the Georgia Driver's Education Commission to offer scholarships for a driver's education course. The state-approved Joshua's Law course meets the requirements for anyone younger than 17 seeking to obtain a driver's license.

Wellness counselor Mike Stubbs recently presented a certificate of excellence to Long County School Nutrition Director Stephanie Fox for her commitment to promoting health. Stubbs said one of the problems that schools face is childhood obesity and that Fox is heading up healthy eating in schools and in the community.
