Sorority offers scholarships

The Nu Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will award five $1,000 scholarships to deserving students. Four categories of scholarships are available including the Historical Black College/University Scholarship; Fashionetta Scholarship; a general scholarship and an adult continuing education scholarship. A 500-word essay is required and the deadline to submit entries is May 4. Applications and other requirement details are available in the guidance offices at Liberty County High School, Bradwell Institute, Brewton Parker College and the Liberty Center. Parents are encouraged to make sure your senior students take advantage of this opportunity.
