Legion Auxiliary gives scholarship

Long County High School graduate Megan Higgason accepts a $500 scholarship from Hinesville American Legion Auxiliary President Anet Owens. The auxiliary also recently sponsored two students, JaMacia Eldridge from Bradwell and Alexandria Swinson from Liberty County HS, to attend Girls State at Georgia Southern in Statesboro. Those expenses were $260 each for the weeklong session, plus $20 spending money.
