Goldenheirs learn of transit system

Rachel Hatcher from Liberty Transit met with Goldenheirs club members at their November meeting. Hatcher talked about planning, funding and the new public transit system's future plans. The buses are on a fixed route to the areas of Hinesville, Flemington and Fort Stewart. The vehicles are wheelchair-accessible.

Christmas comes to downtown Hinesville

Holiday cheer was served in cups of hot chocolate while Santa, Mrs. Claus, a team of delicate reindeer and some jolly elves personified holiday wonder Tuesday during the annual Christmas in the Park in downtown Hinesville. Wreaths for vets in Glennville cemetery

Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery will host Wreaths Across America, a holiday wreath-laying ceremony, at noon Saturday, Dec. 11 to honor and remember the nation's veterans.
