A book you should read

A few weeks ago while I was browsing the book shelves in the Hinesville Goodwill store, a pretty covered hardback book caught my attention. It was "The Widow of the South," a novel by Robert Hicks and published in 2005. I read the flyleaf and thought it would be interesting and hardback books only cost 99 cents there now.

A ‘small shaft of light in an otherwise darkening plain’

Just when I am teetering on the edge of despair concerning the state of child rearing in America, dwelling much, much too obsessively on the damage being done to children and the nation by parents who won't allow their children to take full responsibility for themselves, a little beam of light finds its way through the darkness and rekindles my hope for a future in which children are once again held fully accountable and, as a consequence, allowed to experience the fullness of authentic liberty.

War Dogs will keep you laughing

War Dogs is the type of film that Martin Scorsese would've loved to make and I mean that in a good way. It contains terrific performances from Jonah Hill and Miles Teller and has a story that features several unbelievable OMG moments even though we know the story is based on fact.
