Boy Scout Executive addresses Rotary

Tom Cardiff, executive for the Coastal Empire Council, Boy Scouts of America, addressed the Hinesville Rotary Club at its weekly meeting on March 11. Snelson-Golden crowns queen

Snelson-Golden Middle School had its third annual Miss SGMS pageant on Feb. 29. The pageant was created as a fundraiser by the SGMS cheerleaders to raise money for cheerleading competitions, uniforms and other events during the school year. Kiwanis Club

Members of the Liberty County Kiwanis Club met with Thomas Hall, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs during the club's Feb. 20 meeting. Hall was touring Fort Stewart. He had lunch with club members at the Youth Challenge Academy, which is run by the Georgia National Guard, on Fort Stewart. The Kiwanis meet every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. normally at Poole's Deli.
