Tom Cardiff, executive for the Coastal Empire Council, Boy Scouts of America, addressed the Hinesville Rotary Club at its weekly meeting on March 11. Snelson-Golden Middle School had its third annual Miss SGMS pageant on Feb. 29. The pageant was created as a fundraiser by the SGMS cheerleaders to raise money for cheerleading competitions, uniforms and other events during the school year. Members of the Liberty County Kiwanis Club met with Thomas Hall, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs during the club's Feb. 20 meeting. Hall was touring Fort Stewart.
