Legion invites children to Christmas party

American Legion Post 164 and the Ladies' Auxiliary recently hosted active-duty military families at their Christmas party in Pembroke. The post meets at 8 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month, and all military veterans are welcome to attend.

Masons brighten holidays for kids

In December, Ludowici Prince Hall Masonic Family delivered more than 100 gifts for children in foster care in Liberty and Long counties to the agency office in Hinesville. The delivery included dolls, trucks, jump ropes, games and other new toys to help make the day brighter for girls and boys living in foster care in the area.
