Legion Auxiliary donates to Haiti relief

On March 12, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary from Post 168 of Hinesville presented a $250 check to the American Red Cross for the people of Haiti. Program coordinator Mark Moses-Hunt accepted the donation from Auxiliary President Anneliese Knapp and secretary/treasurer Marie Lehigh.

ATLANTA - During the past 30 years, more than 5,000 people across the state have worked tirelessly for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension without compensation. They are the state's master gardeners, volunteers trained in horticulture who make up the network of dedicated individuals who love gardening and share their time and talents with the community.

The Hi-Fidelity Civic Club recently made donations to several community organizations and Liberty County families who lost their homes to fire. Pageant recruiting contestants until March 31
