Volunteers from the Two Rivers Master Gardeners Association completed the first 30 feet of "The Walk: an African-American Tribute" on Monday at LeConte-Woodmanston Plantation in Liberty County. The walk is a memorial to slaves who toiled on the former rice plantation and across the country, as well as their descendants.
