Fort Stewart United States Bowling Congress awarded Jennifer Tart the USBC College Scholarship on May 20 during an open meeting at Club Stewart. Vice President and Scholarship Chairman Jeff Eastlake presented the scholarship to Tart, who will be attending the University of Georgia in the fall and plans to major in psychology. Flora "Hansie" Sharpe Troha of Allenhurst is one super mom. She is probably the oldest living mother in Liberty County having turned 105 on May 5. Volunteers and rescue dogs had bittersweet partings Saturday when 50 pilots flew nearly 300 four-legged passengers out of MidCoast Regional Airport. It was the largest animal-rescue operation in Liberty County, according to organizers.
