For the city manager to say he doesn't dictate to OMI is a lie. He dictates to every city department and to the entire city, and that's what's wrong with Hinesville. We have a dictatorship instead of a democracy.

Good for the person trying to get rid of Obamacare. Yes, you probably did read the law; the other person hasn't. There will be five new taxes added to everybody because of the law, and you will pay insurance according to how much money you and your husband make - not on a flat rate. Also, there's no free insurance for anyone.

Coming into Hinesville on 84, the first thing you see is Hillcrest trailer park, and it is a mess. Over 90 percent are empty, and the rest of them are falling down. The city needs to do something about Hillcrest trailer park.

I'm not looking to run for city councilman, however, I do have enough background to be one. But I'm calling to agree with the person that said we need 1-800-real change for some of the councilmen here in this county. We need to go forward and now stay in the decades of two or three years ago; we need to move forward with some of our young adults who are in the political parties.

If Hillary Clinton steps down from her job in January, maybe she'll consider with her grandchildren - if she has them - helping them make some cookies. That would be nice of her to change her coat.

The cliquish and clannish influence and dominate for District 2 elections. The male candidate had money, signs, pastory, state representatives, city and county councilmen endorsements - and absolutely zero experience. Like father, like son. The female candidate had none of the above, yet she had knowledge, experience, education and God on her side.

To my fellow American that says you can't blame the Republican Congress for what they did, you must have forgotten about obstruction. Look it up, buddy, because that's exactly what all those Republicans did - obstruct.

To the person in reference to tickets for the light next to Checkers, on the front page of the Coastal Courier, police stated warnings will be issued until the signs are erected. Had you passed your drivers' test, you would know naturally there is never a turn authorized on a red arrow. Therefore, a sign is more of a courtesy than required by law.

Take the dumb arrow down and put up a red light. It's been OK for so long, now that the police read something that it's illegal, we want to go hoopla after all this time.

A recent Courier announced again that the city, the county, the board of education, the hospital, all of those now are looking to raise. They haven't decided now, they're waiting for the digest - that's to keep the public uproar down. The bottom line is we did not need a $12 million football field change to the board of education, we did not need a city hall of that magnitude, we did not need the Chinese visit and the Chinese visits here.

When a policeman hides behind a tree or lurks around under the cover of darkness trying to catch people, that's not good police work, but a sign you have too many policemen in this town.

This is in reference to the parent that called about the Long County teachers: No. 1, those teachers only wear jeans when they are supporting Relay for Life and other causes in the community. No. 2, when was the last time that that parent stepped into a school, said thank you to a teacher for the great work that they do, and checked themselves for volunteering? Sometimes we just complain about teachers but never do ...

Let's try to find some local people looking for people in Liberty County. There are other people looking for work, and it all goes to Buckley and Associates. I'm sure they can retire and not do another piece of work, because Liberty County gets them for everything.
