Letter to the editor: Grateful for the support of the constituents in making system better
letter to editor new

Dear Citizens of Liberty County District 2,

As I reflect on the upcoming election season, I find myself experiencing a range of emotions. While I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as your representative on the Board of Education, District 2, I also find myself pondering the absence of opposition for my seat.

To those who have supported me unwaveringly throughout my time in office, I extend my sincerest gratitude. Your trust and confidence in my abilities to fulfill the duties of this position are truly humbling. I believe that the absence of challengers signifies a recognition of the dedication and commitment I have shown to putting the needs of our students first, and for that, I am immensely grateful.

It’s not lost on me that there may be detractors who have opted not to field an opponent. However, I choose to interpret this as a validation of our collective efforts to prioritize transparency, true leadership, and student success above all else. Despite any opposition, I remain resolute in my determination to advocate for the best interests of Liberty County students.

As I embark on the next four years of my term, I am more determined than ever to ensure that our students receive the support and resources they need to thrive. I reaffirm my commitment to being a voice for the people of District 2 and to actively listening to your concerns and suggestions.

While I may be running unopposed, I will not rest on my laurels. In the coming months, I will be actively canvassing to engage with constituents and gain a deeper understanding of the issues that matter most to you. Your input is invaluable, regardless of whether you reside within District 2 or not.

Should you encounter any challenges or have suggestions for improvement, I encourage you to reach out to me. Your feedback is essential in shaping the future of education in our community.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your continued support. Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to putting students first and fostering transparency in education. Together, we can continue to make a difference.

With gratitude and dedication, your proven Unbought and Unbossed elected official.
