Review and trim the budget. There many areas where money can be saved or not needlessly spent.

Return the Hinesville mayor and city council salaries to pre-2010 levels. Shut down Liberty Transit and sell the buses for what you can get for them. Kill the boondoggles to Jekyll, St. Simons, and China.

Absolutely NOT! Cut the fat from the hogs by restructuring the pay scale of the top 10% City Employee wage earners, eliminate unnecessary jobs, terminate Liberty Transit, use existing buildings in Liberty Co. for workshops rather then luxury trips to Sea Island, St. Simons....all in all, restructuring from within is necessary!!!

Agree with everybody's comments above.
It's an outrage to up the millage rate.
Rent out part of our new cityhall, that lobby is bigger than my house and mostly empty of people traffic most of the time. Put a coffee or icecream vendor in there - oh wait a minute, they probably could not make a living.
I have lived here for over 40years and it seems like no matter who I voted for and is in charge now, waste our taxmoney.

If I overspend my household budget does that mean I can go to city hall and get some money to cover my extravagance?
