How many trips each year should city and county leaders be allowed to make on the taxpayers’ dime?

We are a small town of less than 35,000 citizens. It is overly optimistic for Mayor Thomas to think that his small voice is going to have any effect, at all, on the Defense Budget. His time and efforts would be better spent on the problems at hand in out city; blight, crime prevention (residential burglars), floundering bus company, wasteful spending, and public perception of ineffective city government; to mention a few areas of interest.
