A Walthourville man was shot several times Monday night in a mobile home park on Wilder Road.

The gunman is still being sought, according to Walthourville Police Chief Tracey McFadden.

The victim, a 31-year-old man who has not been identified, was working on a vehicle in front of his residence in the McDonalds Estate Mobile Home Park around 9 p.m. when a white van drove by and fired 11 rounds, hitting the victim four times, according to Liberty County Sheriff's Office Det. Tracey Jennings.

The victim was driven to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville by the owner of the vehicle he was working on. The victim was later airlifted to a hospital in Jacksonville, he reportedly was stablilized at LRMC and was listed in critical condition in Jacksonville.

Jennings is asking the public to call the sheriff's office with any information involving the shooting.
