Three suspects in the Nov. 18 shooting death of Deputy U.S. Marshal Patrick Carothers in Long County have been arrested.
Ashley Chavon Roberts, 24, Levy Lewis Jenkins, 34, and Jeremy Lance Lewis, 32, are each charged with one count of felony hindering apprehension or punishment of s criminal and one count of murder for Carothers’ death.

Roberts was reportedly arrested in Glynn County without incident and recently made a first appearance before a Long County magistrate.
Carothers was shot and killed by Dontrell Montese Carter while serving an arrest warrant in a mobile home park on Tibet Road in Long County.
Carter, 25, was killed when officers returned fire. He was wanted for attempted murder of police officers, domestic violence, and unlawfully discharging a weapon during an incident in September in Sumter County, South Carolina.
The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force had tracked Carter to the residence located in Long County.
