Bradwell Institute ran into a buzzsaw in Brunswick on Friday night, falling 64-21 to the Pirates at Glynn Memorial Stadium.

The loss is the Tigers’ first of the season. Bradwell got 146 yards and two touchdowns from Kevin Harris, and quarterback Vencent Gilbert and O’Brien Nobles connected on a 67-yard scoring pass.

Kenneth Lockhart was 2 for 2 on extra point attempts.

But the Pirates led 36-7 by halftime and 43-21 by the end of the third quarter to send BI to its first loss of the season in the Tigers’ first Region 2-AAAAAA game of the year.

Bradwell plays host to Richmond Hill at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Wildcats are 5-0 but have not yet played a region game.
