Liberty County High School alum Donnie Pulliam of Midway is spending his summer as an intern at the Gloucester Institute in Virginia. He is working with members of the Bush administration on several projects.
Next month, he will travel to Washington, D.C., to meet former Congressman J.C. Watts and gain experience in the political field.
On June 8, Pulliam and other interns had lunch with U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Cantor spoke about how to be successful and prepare for the future.
Pulliam, a sophomore at Morehouse College, recently was inducted into the Alpha Delta Lambda Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. A 2013 honor graduate from LCHS, Pulliam is the son of James and Monica Payno of Midway.
